GOLD European Beer Star for Primator Premium
It is an honour for us to announce that our Primator Premium won the gold star at the European Beer Star Awards 2008 competition in the category Pilsner ( Bohemian style).
The European Beer Star Awards 2008 is a competition organised by the Union of Small and Middle Sized Breweries in Bavaria and by the Association of Small Independent Breweries in Europe.
There were beers sampled from all over the world ( 32countries in total ) and 65-strong international jury tested an amazing number of 688 entries in 42 categories this year in an anonymised blind tasting.
The results were announced in Nurnberg, 13th November, within the BRAU Beviale exhibition. The photos from the ceremony are attached.
As many of you know we have been long awaiting such a prestigious award for our flagship. We are happy to share this fabulous success with our customers and partners.
V.I.P. guest – Jeff Evans*
The famous English beer writer Jeff Evans visited the brewery at the end of October. The purpose of his journey was to join the press conference in Prague to mark the introduction of Primator Stout.
As part of his visit he also sampled the whole Primator range, particularly speciality beers, he experienced the tour through the brewery and took part in an ongoing project of beer gastronomy in Hotel U Beránka.
We are looking forward to his review, that will be released by the Beers of the World magazine in January.

PRIMATOR - The World’s Best Beers
The World’s Best Beers have been crowned by Beers of the World, the international consumer beer magazine. Four bottled beers scooped the title of ‘World’s Best’ in the final round of the annual World Beer Awards.
An international panel of judges tasted their way through hundreds of entries from the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Australia and beyond to find the winners of each style. These style winners then went head to head at a blind tasting event, where the UK’s top brewers selected the best beers in each category: World’s Best Standard Lager, World’s Best Premium Lager etc.
Roger Protz, chairman of judges, said: “This is an exciting time for beer drinkers. More and more craft brewers throughout the world are making beers bursting with distinctive and exciting aromas and flavours. The judges have been overwhelmed by the quality of the beers entered for the competition and it has been an immensely difficult task choosing the winners. I hope that not only the winners but all the beers in the competition will gain greater awareness and will delight drinkers, especially those new to beer.”
